For Starters: Do you have the “lowdown” on your current brand strategy?
Before you shoot for the stars, have you figured out where you are with your current brand strategy? In order to modernize, you will need to understand your current landscape.
Here is what I recommend:
Conduct a Comprehensive Brand Assessment
Start by examining your brand’s identity. It might sound silly, but this includes your brand’s name, logo, tagline, UX/UI.
Put your Tony Stark helmet on. Employ AI-tools to gather data on your industry, competitors, and ICP.
Leverage your users feedback from surveys, social media, reviews and other support interactions and transform them into insights.
Use AI to craft in-depth personas by demographic, psychographic data, pain points, and desires. Sounds a little crazy but trust me, its been proven to work wonders.
Leverage competitive benchmarking to comprehend your brand’s performance. Recognize where you lag behind to bolster your way to becoming a market leader.
Implement pilot initiatives to test the effectiveness of your proposed solutions. Make sure to collect data and feedback to enhance your strategies.
Define Your Brand's Pain Points
Become an AI Detectives! Begin by collecting data from various resources like customer feedback, social media mentions, emails, chats, and surveys to build a comprehensive review of user sentiment.
Use AI-powered sentiment analysis tools to analyze the data you have collected to automatically classify engagements as positive, negative, or neutral. There are so many tools out there with free trials. Try them all and choose which one works best for you.
Apply feedback clustering to map to group data points together. This will enable you to understand common pain point themes.
Prioritize pain points based on their impact to customer satisfaction and business goals.

As you may already know, I am a Blue Ocean Strategy Practitioner. While I have studied multiple business strategies and methodologies, I personally like focusing on creating uncontested market space by making competition irrelevant. Here's how to apply its principles to your brand strategy.

Would you rather fight multiple sharks for one piece of fish, or go to a lake where you were by yourself and have an over abundance of fish? Don’t answer that and move on.
Start by understanding your brand’s current market position which includes all the boring basics: market share, client base, and competitive landscape. A wise person once said: “Boring will pay you dividends while fancy will make you broke”.
Identify the factors that your industry traditionally competes on, such as price, product features, quality, and customer service. Most competitors will compete on price which will automatically drop your value indirectly if you choose to compete with them.
Understand the competitive forces at play, including existing rivals, potential new entrants, substitutes, and buyer bargaining power.
Explore Uncharted Market Spaces
Dive into market research to discover untapped, unmet customer needs and opportunities that your competitors may have overlooked.
Look for areas where customer demand exists but is not adequately addressed by current market offerings.
Use AI insights to segment potential markets into distinct groups with similar characteristics and behaviors. Basically identify a tribe with the insights.
Validate, Validate, Validate. This is super important. You can optimize your validation demand sequence by using tools identify these marketspaces through focus groups or pilot programs.
Innovate to Create Value
Innovate by developing products, services, or solutions that address the identified unmet needs. Keyword: UNMET. Use AI and data-driven insights to inform your innovation process so that you are maximizing your focus on your client’s unmet needs.
Focus on differentiation and creating a unique selling proposition (USP) that sets you apart from competitors. Highlight your product/service unique features and the value compared to your competitors.
Focus on execution. Several companies fail to execute their brilliant strategy. If you can execute your strategy continuously and effectively, your ability to innovate and differentiate increases significantly.
Redefine Your Value Proposition
Craft a compelling value proposition that resonates with your target audience, highlighting how your brand's offerings uniquely satisfy their needs and desires. You can hack this by utilizing AI powered analytics tools to do all the heavy lifting for you. How heavy? Conducting in-depth market analysis, uncovering hidden insights, and identifying pain points.
Employ AI tools to aid in the creation of your new value prop by processing LARGE BATCHES of data for market trends and client preferences. Another hack - focus on the KEYWORD: UNMET.

Make sure you are doing research. You can utilize AI sentiment tools to the majority of the work but make sure you are identifying common pain points. I suggest you create customer personas based on the AI insights to allow you to tailor your USP effectively.
Identify gaps in your competitors’ offerings through AI analysis. Use the information to formulate your value prop.
You are a creative genius and when you leverage AI to generate actionable insights, your strategy canvas becomes your oyster. Imagine the USP concepts you can frame?

Explore dynamic pricing strategies powered by AI. Adjust prices based on real-time market conditions, demand fluctuations, and customer behavior.
Implement value-based pricing models that align with the perceived benefits of your offerings. If a “gain-share” model is appropriate, make sure to do further analysis to determine whether or not it should be implemented.
Communicate the flexibility and fairness of your pricing model through AI-driven pricing optimization insights. I do this with my clients today and its a huge value creator.

Pilot Programs are a MUST

Musical Chairs Hack - as promised, here is my secret to winning at musical chairs:
Staying true blue ocean strategy development and implementation, I decided to do the following:
Reinvented the game rules (shocker). My friends and I came up with “special powered” aces that were giving special responsibilities. For example, we had a “joker” ace that was giving once to each player to use anytime during the round. Let’s say there were only three players left with 2 chairs available. When the music stops, the person with the joker ace can say “turning that single chair into a two seater” which gave the user the ability to share that single seat with another player preventing him from being eliminated.
By reinventing the game rules made it more fun for all allowing everyone to collaborate and have fun.
